    Another little one in the making

    This is one of the very few pictures of me while I was pregnant with Ryan.  It was also when we first got the Jazz, hence the picture was taken.  That was 2.5 years ago.... time indeed flies when u r changing a lot of diapers.  Looks like I am going to go thru it all over again, the body tranformation, the pain, the sleepless nites and ofcos not forgetting the joy... this time instead of just praying for a small one with "character", we are praying for one who is easy to take care amidst other good things ...  one tubercharged one at home is enough and I am not talking about the Jazz.

    Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout

    This bible verse in the book of Proverbs never caught my attention until yesterday.  
    Like a gold ring in a pig's snout
    is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion
    Proverbs 11:22
    It reminded me of a chinese saying "猪那戴耳环" What a vivid picture!!  Proverbs always offers so much wisdom and truth.
     
    I quickly wanted to find out what "shows no discretion" means, these are some resources I've found. This was the thought of my day.
    "Gold signifies value, but here is value that has been woefully misplaced. In the same way, a beautiful woman who misuses her womanhood and her beauty has not learned to place real value on the inward beauty of the spirit. In fact, she tragically underestimates her own worth and sells herself as an adornment for filth and ugliness."

    Defintion of discreet (from Merriam-Webster online dictionary)
    1 : having or showing discernment or good judgment in conduct and especially in speech : PRUDENT; especially : capable of preserving prudent silence
    2 : UNPRETENTIOUS, MODEST <the warmth and discreet elegance of a civilized home -- Joseph Wechsberg>

    BMW versus Camry

    This is a conversation with my husband yesterday while driving on the road.  Funj pointed out that the car next to us is a new Toyota Camry and commented that it's a nice car... so this is how the converstation went
     
    Before u read on, u'll need to understand my husband's definition of a clean car
       A clean car is a car which is dust free and spotless... cast perfect shadows and turns head on the road.
       Clean cars should stay clean as long as possible... hence should not be driven unless there is no alternative.
      
     
    LP: Will you sell your old BM and buy a new Camry?
    FJ:  I hv to drive it to see if I like it.
    LP: If you like it will you buy it and sell your BMW
    FJ:  Yeah why not?
    LP:  So it's not the prestige of owning a BMW but the driving pleasure that makes you bought the car?
    FJ: Yeah, that's correct.
    LP: Then why are you always driving my car instead of your own car?
    FJ: Because I don't want to have to wash my car ... too lazy, your car is easier to wash.
    LP: Then wouldn't it make more sense to just not own one? Then no need to wash at all.
    FJ: Nice try.
     
    And they say women are hard to understand.
